Norse Dig Hole Against Bluffton

The Northfield Norsemen couldn’t overcome a disastrous second quarter that saw them go down as much as 23 points before falling to Bluffton 73-54.

After halftime, the Norse came back and cut the lead to 10 on multiple occasions but couldn’t get out of the hole they had dug.

Leading the way was Jared Peas with 15 points and 5 rebounds. Clayton Tomlinson bounced back from a very poor half to finish with 12 points, 5 assists and 3 steals and really spearheaded the comebacks. Logan Peas scored 9. Graydon Holmes had 6 points and 8 rebounds. Nate Drancik added 6 points. The Norse also got two each off the bench from Liam Johnson, Jarret Shafer and Alex Haupert.

The Norse have a big week coming up as they host TRC foe Maconaquah on Tuesday and then go to TRC and county rival Southwood on Friday.
