The Northfield boys basketball team fell to Maconaquah 68-58 Monday.
In what was a great HS basketball game, the Norse couldn’t overcome a 16 point hole. Down 16 in the third, the Norse started to build back into the game. Trailing by 2 in the fourth quarter; Clayton Tomlinson missed a three that was way down in the bucket and popped out. That was the last chance for the Norse to take the lead
It was tough to make up the free throw deficit as Mac was 16-25 and the Norse shot 6-7 which accounted for a ten point loss at the line. Leading the way was Logan Peas with 16 points all in the first half.
Nate Drancik scored 15 points and secured 6 rebounds. Tomlinson and Jared Peas each had 11 points and 2 assists as Peas added 4 steals. Graydon Holmes rounded out the scoring with 5 points.
The Norse are back in action Tuesday night at Huntington North
