The Northfield Lady Norse pounded out 17 hits including an Addi Baker home run as they defeated Southern Wells 14-5.
Southern Wells would score a run in the top of the first with the Norse wasting no time responding. In the bottom of the inning Addi Baker would lead off with a single and was followed by an Ally Keaffaber single. Abby Hunter would follow with a single, driving home Baker to make it 1-1. With one out Keaffaber would score on a passed ball before Faith Satterwaite wold ground out, scoring Faith Leming to lead 3-1.
In the second Jenna Krom and baker would single before Krom scored on a passed ball and Baker scored on a Satterwaite single for a 5-1 lead.
The Raiders would pick up a run in the third on a home run to make it 5-2 before Kenzie Baer and Madison Shrider singled in front of a Baker home run to make it 8-2.
Southern Wells would close the gap in the top of the fifth with 3 runs to make it 8-5 before the Norse put the game out of reach. Baker started the inning with a double before Hunter reached on a one out error. Three staright singles by Emma Hoover, Kyra Kennedy and Elise Gottschalk made it 11-5 before a Baer sac fly scored Kennedy for a 12-5 lead. Bailey Burcroff would drive home the final run of the inning with a single to lead 13-5.
The Norse would tack on one more run in the sixth. Baker would double and score on a one out ground out by Hunter to make it 14-5.
