The Northfield softball team traveled to North Miami Wednesday, grabbing a 2-0 lead before giving up 6 runs the last two innings in a 6-3 loss to the Warriors.

The Norse would grab a 2-0 lead in the third when Jenna Krom drew a walk before an Addi Baker home run for a 2-0 lead.

North Miami would cut the lead in half in the fifth. Hunt led off drawing a walk and was followed by Halterman reaching on a fielders choice. With one out Tinney would draw a walk to load the bases before Hunt scored on a wild pitch to make it 2-1. Halterman would then be thrown out at home before a strike out ended the threat.

The Warriors would rally in the sixth with 5 runs. Miller led off with a single and was sacrificed to second. With one out Smith would single home Triggs to make it 2-2. Keim would follow drawing a walk before a Hunt ground ball made it two outs. Halterman would then triple with Keim and Hunt scoring to give North Miami a 4-2 lead. Freeman would follow drawing a walk before Halterman scored on an error. A single from Tinnet scored Freeman to make it 6-2.

The Norse would get a run back in the seventh. With one out Krom would single. With two outs an Ally Keaffaber single scored Krom for the 6-3 final.
