Knights Get Walk Off Single From Craft To Defeat Maconaquah

The Southwood Knights built a 5-2 lead before needing a walk off single from Jared Craft in the seventh for a 6-5 win over Maconaquah Wednesday.

The Knights would grab a 1-0 lead in the first when Gabe Lloyd hit a solo shot over the center field fence.

Southwood would tack on a couple more runs in the second. Cam Ball would double before a Carson Rich two run shot made it 3-0..

Maconaquah would make it 3-2 in the top of the third. Koebler would single with one out before reaching third when Winegardner reached on an error. A ground out from Hays would score Koebler to make it 3-1. Snyder was then hit by a pitch before Winegardner scored on a Little single for a 3-2 score. Southwood would answer with 2 runs in the bottom of the inning. With one out Lloyd would double and take third on a Logan Barley single. With runners on second and third Ball would double home both to make it 5-2.

The Braves would knot the score in the sixth. Silcox led off with a single. With one out Haney would single home Silcox to make it 5-3. A Koebler single put runners on first and second before a Hays double scored both runners to make it 5-5.

In the bottom of the seventh Lloyd would hit a one out single before Barley reached on an error. With one out Lloyd would be caught trying to steal third. Ball would follow being hit by a pitch before Craft hit the game winner single for the 6-5 win.
