The Manchester Lady Squires traveled to Tippecanoe Valley Friday, building a 7-0 lead before hanging on for an 8-5 win over the Vikings.
The Squires would plate a run in the first before plating four runs in the second. Manchester would get singles from Torina Runkel, Emma Evans and Kindra Stetzel. Emma West was hit by a pitch while Mackenzie day and Avery Howard reached on errors. Manchester led 5-0 after two.
The Squires would tack on a run in the fourth when Carsyn Howard doubled homeEvans who had singled for a 6-0 lead.
In the fifth Lydia Greer would reach on an error and was followed by an Emma West single. Runkel would follow reaching on an error with Greer scoring to lead 7-0. Valley would answer in the bottom of the inning with 4 runs to close the gap to 7-4. The Vikings would plate a solo run in the sixth to make it 7-5.
In the seventh Andrea Kahn and Emma Garriott would reach on errors before a Greer single loaded the bases. West would then fly out with Kahn tagging up to score and make it 8-5
