The Manchester Lady Squires rallied late, falling short 7-6 to Maconaquah Wednesday.
Manchester grabbed a 1-0 lead in the first. Emma West would single before stealing second and scoring on an Emma Evans grounder.
Maconaqauh would grab a 2-1 lead in the second on a home run before the Squires got both runs back in the third. With one out Torina Runkel would double and was followed by an Evans walk. With two outs Carsyn Howard singled home both runners for a 3-2 lead.
The Braves would come back in the fifth to score 4 times and take a 7-3 lead. In the sixth Howard would walk and was followed by a Mackenzie Day walk. Andrea Kahn followed with a single to score Howard to make it 7-4. Day would follow scoring on an Emma Garriott grounder for a 7-5 score.
The Squires had one more shot in the seventh, getting a one out home run from Kindra Stetzel before falling 7-6.
