Norse Fall At Home To Peru

The Northfield baseball team fell behind early to Peru and could never make up the deficit in a 9-5 loss to the Tigers Wednesday.

Peru would plate a run in the top of the first before the Norse responded in the bottom of the inning with a two run home run from Nate Drancik for a 2-1 lead.

The Tigers would answer with 4 runs in the second to go up 5-2 before the Norse closed the gap in the fourth. Drancik would walk with Jarrett Shafer drawing a one out walk. Drancik would then score on a wild pitch to make it 5-3.

Peru would increase their lead to 7-3 in the fifth before the Norse manufactured two runs off a single, a walk and an error to make it 7-5.

In the sizth the Tigers would plate 3 runs again for a 9-5 lead that would hold for the final score.
