The Southwood Knights hit two home runs and scored eight runs in the first inning in route to a 15-2 five inning win over Wabash Thursday.
In the 8 inning first the Knights got singles form Logan Barley, Gabe Lloyd and Cam Ball before freshman Joey Bland hit a grand slam for an 8-1 lead after one.
Tristan Hayslett would hit a three run dinger in the second as the lead grew to 11-1 after two.
The Apaches got a home run from Kallen Kelsheimer in the third before Gabe Lloyd answered with a shot over the center field fence in the fourth for a 12-2 lead. The Knights would score three more times in the inning for the 15-2 final.
