Norse Fall To Maconaquah

The Northfield baseball team fell behind 3-0 to Maconaquah Friday, falling to the Braves 5-3.

Maconaquah wouls score a solo run in the first abd 2 in the second to lead 3-0 before the Norse would come back to tie the game.

In the sixth Nate Drancik would hit a one out single and was followed by a Braden Ripplinger single. Jarrett Shafer would follow with a single to load the bases before Drancik scored when Gage Watkins was hit by a pitch. Jason Truman would then single home Ripplinger to make it 3-2.

In the bottom of the seventh Drancik would draw a two out walk before scoring on a Ripplinger double to send the game to the eighth inning.

Maconaquah would plate 2 runs in the eighth for the 5-3 final.
