Kruschwitz Brothers Battle For Medalist Honors At Wabash Invite

Manchester Boys golf team finished second with a 330 in the Wabash Invitational held at Honeywell Golf Course on Saturday morning. Logansport won the event with a team score of 319. Lewis Cass finished third at 356, Wabash fourth with a 364, Southwood fifth with a 369, Tippecanoe Valley next at 379 and Blackford finished with a 413.

It took a four hole playoff to determine the individual medalist between Harley and Owen Kruschwitz, both shooting one over par 72’s on the day. Harley and Owen traded par for par on the first three playoff holes (alternating between holes number 1 and 18), with Harley narrowly missing birdie putts on all three holes and Owen making very nice recoveries for par on each of the holes. On the fourth playoff hole, number 18, Owen had the edge, but Harley made his birdie putt from approximately 30 feet, while Owen barely missed birdie from about 12 feet. Finishing in a tie for third individual were Johnathon Easter of Logansport and Carson Heath of Southwood with 77s. Finishing in a tie for 5th individual were Asif Khan of Wabash and Parker Wilburn of Logansport with 78s.

Carson Heath was the Southwood team medalist and placed 3rd overall with a 39/38 – 77, followed by Logan Arnold 47/46 – 93, Ket Baldwin 47/49 – 96, and Baron Hedrick 53/50 – 103.

The 77 by Carson Heath is his Southwood High School career low round.
