The Manchester girls soccer team defeated Mississinewa 5-0 Wednesday.
Manchester got off to a quick start as Beletu Stout got the first goal lofting a ball over the keeper. Emma Garriott scored followed up with a header off a corner kick from Lainey Shock and crashing after a shot by Lex Donathan. Donathan then found the net on her own from deep to finish the half 4-0.
Emma Garriott had the only goal in the second half to finalize the score. Kindra Stetzel had 5 saves on the night while the defensive line up of Alexa Donathan, Kayla Metzger, Hadley Schannep, Haley Clifford and Torina Runkel held off all offensive attacks. Gabbie Brewer and Bailey Mooney played well in the middle moving the ball and creating opportunities for their teammates.
Manchester will play again tomorrow at Wabash.
