Wabash Girls Soccer Falls To Maconaquah
The Wabash Lady Apache soccer team fell to Maconaquah 2-1 Saturday.
Down 1-0 early, the Lady Apaches fought back to tie it 1-1 just before half with a beautiful cross from Maya Benysh and finished by Rylee Yoakum.
The second half the Apaches kept the pressure on and kept knocking on the door and just couldn’t get one to fall. The Apaches fought hard in two overtime periods that remained scoreless and let to a penalty shootout. GK Hannah Layne had two amazing saves in the penalty shootout round and only allowed in 1 goal.
