The Wabash cross country teams ran in the Penn Invite Saturday.
Seniors Angel Wehrly and Camille Kugler tag-teamed the first two miles together with Wehrly pulling away and coming first for the team with a time of 25:55. Kugler came in close behind with her season best time of 25:59. Next was Sierra Hall with a season best of 27:21. Rounding out the team was Grace La Mar with her season best and personal best time of 28:32.
Led by Dereck Vogel’s 2nd place overall finish the Apaches finished 4th out of 14 complete teams. Homestead was 1st, Valparaiso was 2nd, and Penn 3rd. Finishing the scoring for the Apaches were Zack Reed in 18th, Caleb Callahan 35th, Jarrett Wilson 44th and Dave Ford 50th.
The JV team also competed with Jaxon Barnett, Lincoln Saldivar, and Caelan McDougle earning PR’s on the challenging course.
