Manchester Girls Hold Off West Noble
The Manchester girls soccer team defeated West Noble 3-2 Saturday.
It was a tough battle back and forth but Manchester was able to find the net first as Lex Donathan was able to put the ball up front and Emma Garriott finished it. West Noble then scored off a corner and we headed into the half tied 1-1.
West Noble scored first in the second half to take a 2-1 lead. Manchester was able to tie it us as Emma Garriot dropped the ball to Beletu Stout who had a beautiful shot over the keeper from 20 yards out. Emma Garriott then broke through on her own 30 seconds later to take the 3-2 lead.
Bailey Mooney did a great job running the middle and tough defense was played by Lex Donathan, Torina Runkel, Kayla Metzger, Haley Clifford and Gabbie Brewer to close down the Lady Chargers. Kindra Stetzel had 8 saves for the Lady Squires.
