Wabash Boys Fall To Lakewood

The Wabash boys varsity soccer team ended their remarkable season with a 3-0 loss to #3 Lakewood Christian in IHSAA sectional play at Fort Wayne Blackhawk on Wednesday.

The Apaches sputtered at the start of the match, as two failed clearances lead to an early 2-0 lead for Lakewood, who put in their 3rd before halftime.

The second half started much better for the Apaches, winning physical battles to hold Lakewood Christian to zero goals in the 2nd half.

The Apaches’ season concluded, but there were plenty of positives. With a 10-5-1 record, and 5-1 in the TRC play, the Apaches end their season with the best record in program history. Lead by a wonderful group of seniors and head coach Bill Benysh, the Apaches have plenty to celebrate.
