Northfield/Southwood JH Volleyball Splits
The Northfield and Southwood junior high volleyball teams met in the opening round of the RRC tournament Thursday.
The 7th Grade Lady Norse volleyball team (16-0) managed a comeback win over a tough Southwood team on Thursday night to advance to the second round of the RRC Tournament.
Southwood won the first set 16-25 but the Norse came back to win in three 25-21, 15-10. Kirsten Rife led the with 8 service points and 2 assists. Josie Weaver had 6 kills and 3 service points. Emma Warnock had 5 service points and 2 digs. Allie Weaver added 3 service points, 5 assists and 1 dig. Elli Baker played great defense with 6 digs.

Hannah Holmes, serving in her first game ever, led the team in scoring with 4 points with 1 ace and 1 kill. Gabby Haupert added 3 points with 2 aces and 3 kills. Josie Lynn added 2 kills with 1 block and Ava Copeland added 4 assists.
