Norse Fall To Adams Central In Sectional Championship

It didn’t get any easier for the Northfield football team Friday. After defeating #3 Southwood last week in the sectional semi finals the Norse faced #4 Adams Central in the sectional championship, falling to the Flying Jets 38-28.

Adams Central would score the first points of the game for a 7-0 lead before two Levi Fulkerson running touchdowns gave the Norse a 14-7 lead after one.

The Flying Jets would do all the scoring in the second quarter, putting up 17 points to lead 24-14 at the half.

A Clayton Tomlinson TD would close the gap to 24-21 in the third before Central scored with 11.1 seconds left in the quarter to lead 31-21.

Fulkerson would score early in the fourth to make it 31-28 before Adams Central sealed the win with 43.6 seconds left for the 38-28 final.
