Squires Pick Up Road Win At Wawasee
The Manchester Squires went on the road and defeated Wawasee 61-50 Friday.
A balanced offensive attack was a key component in the win as MHS had 4 players in double figures. Caleb Stout came off the bench to tie for scoring honors with starter Thane Creager. They each had 14 points. Junior starters Weston Hamby and Max Carter chipped in 13 and 12 points respectively.
Another plus for the Squires was FT shooting as the team made 17 of 19 tries. Hamby was 6 for 6, Austin Underwood was 2 for 2, Creager was 1 for 1 and both Carter and Stout went 4 for 5 from the charity stripe. Leading in rebounds for the Squires was Creager with 8. Hamby and Carter had 7 rebounds each. Top assist man was Hamby with 6. Carter led the team in steals with 4.
