The Northfield Norsemen lit up the gym from behind the arch in the first half, building a lead big enough to hold off North Miami 71-65 Friday.
The Norse used torrid shooting to offset a MAJOR free throw discrepancy in picking up a TRC win over North Miami.
The Norse shot 54% from the field including 11-22 from three point range in a 71-65 win as the Warriors hit 23 free throws on 37 attempts.
Leading the way was Clayton Tomlinson with 17 points, 9 assists and 5 rebounds. Junior Alex Haupert again came off the bench to score 11 points as Freshman Dillon Tomlinson also scored 11 off the bench to go with 5 assists.
Jarret Shafer scored 9 points and added a career high 8 rebounds. Freshman Paul Treska scored 6 as did Graydon Holmes to go with 3 blocks. Kaleb Krom had a career high 8 points and had a key block for stop a Warrior comeback. Jayden Peas added three points and a career high five assists.
The JV was also victorious behind 10 points from David Linkenhoker. Jake Halderman, Eli Kroh, Noah Burkhart and Andrew Burns all had 8 in a 48-34 win.
The C Team lost their game 17-13 as Dylan Ross had 6.
