Northfield Girls/Wabash Boys Win Apache CC Invite
The Northfield girls and Wabash boys cross country teams won the Apache Invite Tuesday at Wabash City park.
The Lady Norse had a great night of running! They finished in first place at the Apache Invite led by Mara Zolman with an overall first place finish with a time of 22:57. Jenna Krom took 4th, Trinity Bever took 5th, Anna Kissel took 8th, and Emma Hoover took 12th to finish our scoring.
Wabash freshman Calisen Kugler, finished her race by taking a medalist position in 4th overall with a time of 25:57. Senior, Sierra Hall, finished her last home race of her career with a 12th place finish and running a time of 27:42. Finishing her race in 16th peace with a new season PR of 30:12 was sophomore Grace La Mar.
The Wabash High School boys cross country team competed in the Apache Invite Tuesday afternoon finishing in first place. Zack Reed was the overall race winner followed by teammates Jarrett Wilson in 2nd and Dave Ford in 3rd. Caelan McDougle wasn’t far behind in 5th place while Troy Guenin-Hodson finished in 7th. Trevor Daughtry and Kaden Vogel were neck and neck finishing 9th and 10th. Nick Perkins finished 12th, Lincoln Saldivar 15th, Sammy Smith 19th, Ethan Berry 22nd and Braydon French 24th. There were 44 runners in the race.
