The Wabash girls soccer team fell to Oak Hill 1-0 Wednesday.
The Eagles put one away in the first half and though the Wabash defense and goalkeeper remained solid in the 2nd half, the Lady Apaches couldn’t find the back of the net to even it up.
Sophomore goalkeeper Hannah Layne had 15 saves on the night and payed an incredible game for Wabash. This was the last regular season game for the Apaches, as they finish with a 9-2-1 record before starting tournament play next week.
The Lady Apaches also are coming away with a TRC conference championship for the first time in program history, sharing it with both Rochester and Manchester. Wabash will begin tournament play next Thursday, when they take on the Manchester Squires again at Blackford High School at 5:00 pm.
