Lady Apaches Fall At Taylor

The Wabash Lady Apaches traveled to Taylor Thursday to open the season but turnovers and foul trouble did in the Lady Apaches.

Wabash opened up strong but the hosts took advantage of early foul trouble to grab a 28-26 lead at half. Wabash would fall down by 8 points in the 3rd but with five minutes left had cut the deficit to 43-40. The Lady Apaches would not score again as they fell 52-40

Libby Mattern paced the Lady Apaches with 15 points while Alivia Short and Mariah Wyatt added 7 and 6. Short, Wyatt and Jordan Stumbo grabbed 5 rebounds each while Nici Gunderman dished out 3 assists to lead Wabash.
