Lady Norse 6th Top North Miami
The Northfield 6th grade girls defeated North Miami 41-22.
The 6th Grade Lady Norse got out to a quick start against N. Miami. The Lady Norse had six players score in the 1st quarter, jumping out to a 14 – 5 lead. The even scoring attack continued in the 2nd quarter as six Lady Norse scored again stretching the lead to put the Lady Norse up 18 at the half with a score of 27 to 9. The Lady Norse played great team ball and worked hard at both ends of the court to come up victorious over the Warriors with a score of 41-22. Laney Haupert led the way with 9 points. Viv Haupert, Faith Krom, Emma Wilson, and Millie Higgins all added six points. Ayla Dale had 5 points and several nice assists. Addi Sorg pulled down 9 rebounds and went 3 of 4 from the free throw line. Great Win, Lady Norse!
The 6th Grade Lady Norse were consistent as they beat N. Miami in the 2nd game of the night 41 – 18. Six players scored in the 2nd game as well. The Warriors didn’t have an answer for the offensive threat of Claire Brainard and Mikayla Meyer. Mikayla knotched a season high 15 points! Claire had a double-double with 14 points and 12 rebounds! Kaedence Mitchell and Ayla Dale both added 4 points. Addison Sorg & Lilli Koonce each added a bucket. Lilli was a beast on the boards as she led the rebounding effort with 14! Emme Hanes played great defense and showed a lot of guts by getting back out on the court after spraining her ankle! She also had 5 rebounds! Way to go, Lady Norse!
