Southwood JH Track Host Oak Hill/North Miami

The Southwood junior high track teams hosted Oak Hill and North Miami Monday.

The 5th, 6th, and 7th Grade boys track team hosted Oak Hill and North Miami in a three-way meet on Monday. They were able to put together some impressive performances to pull out the team win.

Andrew Wright (200 m Dash)

Fourth Place:

The small 8th Grade Boys team also faced off against Oak Hill and North Miami on Monday. They would finish 3rd with 27 points behind Oak Hill’s 70 and North Miami’s 37.

The 5th, 6th, and 7th Grade Boys improve to 3-1 on the season while the 8th Grade Boyd fall to 1-3. The Knights are next scheduled to travel to Manchesterto take on the Squires in a dual meet on Wednesday.

The Southwood Knights would host Oak Hill and North Miami in a three-way meet on Monday. Despite the cold, windy weather, the 5th, 6th, and 7th grade girls were still able to score a solid 34 points.

The 8th Grade Girls also hosted Oak Hill and North Miami on Monday. They would finish second with 32 points while edging out North Miami’s 31 points. Oak Hill led the way with 62 team points in the three-way meet.

Both teams are now 2-2 on the young season. The Knights are next scheduled to travel to Manchester on Wednesday to take on the Squires in dual meet.
