Knights Split With Oak Hill


The Southwood baseball team split a double header with Oak Hill Saturday.

Oak Hill won game one 9-5.

Mo Lloyd led the way offensively for the Knights by hitting a double and a 2 run home run. Other hits were by Koby Thomas, Joey Bland, and Tristin Hayslett. Mason Yentes drew 3 walks in the game and Connor Rich drew two walks.

Cole Winer started on the mound and went 3 2/3 innings. He gave up 8 runs (4 earned) on 7 hits. He walked 2 and struck out 7.
Mo Lloyd entered in relief and gave a strong 1 1/3 innings. He allowed 1 earned run on two hits, with one walk and 4 strikeouts.
Joey Bland finished things up on the mound pitching a clean inning. He gave up 0 runs on 0 hits with one walk and no strikeouts.

The Knights captured game two 12-6.
