We had some warm weather finally at the Field of Dreams for some baseball this weekend.

On the National League field Friday we seen the Wabash Elks Lodge Cubs host the Kendall Electric Yankees. The Cubs got behind early with a couple hits by Mackey Sorg and Harrison Dale for the Yankees in the top of the first inning. But they settled down and made it a game when Caleb Dubois came in to relieve pitch and a couple good at bats by Harrison Phillipy and Eli Edmond. The Yankees held in for the win though winning 7-6.

In Saturday’s first game the Crossroads Bank RedSox came ready to play against the Wabash Hardware Giants. The RedSox jumped all over the Giants early and kept rolling. With Zion McKnight and Jordan Fields found 3 for 3 at the plate. The RedSox make this one quick winning 13-0 in 3 1/2 innings.

In the second game Saturday afternoon the Ingaurd A’s snagged a late lead and defeated the Intrasect Technology BlackHawks. The A’s had ten hits in the game. Cooper Good, Cruz Long, and KAMDEN Oswalt all had multiple hits for the A’s. Cruz and Cooper had three hits to lead NL A’s.

Blackhawks racked up 11 hits in the game. Jacob White, Aidan Mahann and Logan Holmes all managed multiple hits for Blackhawks. Blackhawks evened things up at five in the bottom of the sixth inning.
The game was tied at five with A’s batting in the top of the seventh when Cruz Long grounded out, scoring one run to get the scoring started in the seventh inning. A’s go on to secure the win 13-5.
