Norse JH Falls To Manchester

The Northfield Junior High football squad dropped its first contest of the season, 32-0, at home against Manchester.

The Norse did many things well, but four turnovers and several big plays found Northfield down early.
Northfield did rush for 34 team yards, but could never get consistent drives going. Korbin Haupert tallied 17 yards on six attempts, including a long of 16. Brayden Rice finished with 13 yards on five carries while Alec Oswalt contributed nine yards on six carries. Ryder Schram (4-1), and Corbin Goshert (4-(-)6) rounded out the rushing.
Rice finished with three completions for 17 yards with Haupert (3), Tyler Haupert (7) and Trevor Galbraith (7) hauled in catches.
Kaden Rosen led the defense with 3.5 tackles, including two solos for loss late in the contest. Rice chipped in three while Oswalt, Goshert and Haupert added two each.
