The Wabash Lady Apaches soccer team was able to come back after being down 1-0 to win their conference opener against Peru 2-1 Thursday.
The Lady Apaches were able to capitalize off of 2 of Rylee Yoakum’s corner kicks. Natalie Adams put away the first one, to tie the game. Kiana Jones scored the game winner, when the ball off the corner came outside the 18, she sent it right back in to the far corner. Kalista Ballschmidt did a great job controlling the defense and in goal, Hannah Layne had very solid game with 9 saves on the night. In the 2nd half we had great ball movement with Yoakum, Ashley Province. Libby Mattern and Mar Perez and Natalie Adams attacking the goal. Wabash is back in action next Tuesday at home at 5:00 vs. Manchester.
