The Wabash cross country teams ran in the IWU invite Saturday at Marion.

The Wabash High School Boys cross country team finished 6th out of 22 teams at the IWU Invitational Saturday morning. Kaden Vogel was the top Apache finisher coming in 5th out of 194 runners. Jonas Church and Jace Bullins finished 27th and 28th. Chase Howard was 78th, Nick Perkins 85th, Kasen Oswalt 113th, Ethan Berry 123rd, Kristian Stanton 149th, and Braxten Lakin 161st. Kaden, Jonas, Jace and Kristian all ran lifetime bests in the race.

First for the HS lady Apaches was Cali Kugler, our team sophomore. Kugler took 66th place and came in with a time of 25:51. Next was freshman Ivy Beamer with a personal record time of 26:38. Beamer took 79th place. Following was the team junior, Grace La Mar, in 95th place and a time of 27:47.

The Wabash Middle School boys cross country team won the IWU Invitational Saturday morning. With a 22 second spread between their 1-5 runners Wabash totaled a score of 27 points. Drew Guenin-Hodson was the first Apache to cross the finish line in 2nd place while teammate Bobby Shull was right behind him in 3rd place. Isaiah Cordes was 5th, Caidan Burchett 8th, and Ezra Church 10th. Coleson Kugler was 16th and Kamden Oswalt was 17th. There were 142 runners in the race. Treyce Daughtry finished 39th, Keaton Lane 48th, Raven Weaver 52nd, Matt Niles 66th, Beckett Shaw 69th, and Luke Kaufman 94th.

First for the Apaches was Raegan Jones coming in 43rd place and running a 14:33. Jones was close to her season PR. Quinn Myers came in next for the team with a 15:09 and taking 58th place. Myers was also close to her PR. Ava Bishir followed Myers in with a time of 15:26 and a place of 63rd. Haylee Friend came next for the team in 84th place with a time of 16:08. Bridget Bailey came in close behind her teammate with a 16:25 and taking 86th place overall. Caitlyn Shidler followed in behind Bailey with a time of 16:41. Shidler took 89th place overall. Behind her cane Maya Howard in 97th place with a time of 17:10, only 10 seconds from her PR. Audri Shidler came in 113th place overall and ran a time of 18:45. Allayna Renn ran a PR time of 18:55 and taking 116th place. Emma Cantrell finished up for the team running a 22:56, only 18 seconds from her PR and placing 136th.
