RRC & TRC Cross Country

The RRC and TRC cross country meets were ran at Tippecanoe Valley Saturday.

The timing company who sends results has posted the wrong event so we will post the notes coaches sent to us and update once we get official results

RRC Race

The Manchester JH boys finished 2nd as a team. Clark Showalter was 16th and Oliver Fitzpatrick was 15th. Earning all-county medals and being named to the JH Boys all-conference team, Wyatt Schroll was 12th and Trey Howard was 1st. The JH girls only had one top 20 finish in Rachel Steely who medaled in 9th.

The JH Norseman finished 3rd at the Running Rivers Conference Cross Country meet on Saturday. Earning All Conference honors was Tate Barlow with a 7th place finish. Running lifetime bests, Eli Gahl, 17th, and Wyatt Bucher, 19th. Rounding out the top 7 finishers were Holten Satterthwaite, 26, Kourtland Pratt, 29th, Preston Moore, 30th, and Ethan Hoover, 32nd. Preston ran a lifetime best and Ethan ran a season best.

The JH Lady Norse Cross Country team finished 3rd on Saturday at the Running Rivers Conference meet. They were only 1 point out of 2nd place behind Wabash. All 5 girls ran a fantastic race to finish the season. Laney Haupert and Kaleigh Rice finished 3rd and 4th overall to earn All Conference honors. Teagan Baer was 13th overall with the top 12 earning All Conference. Ali Copeland finished 30th and Amarah Frieden finished the season with a lifetime best performance improving nearly 45 seconds on the day

For the third straight year the Wabash Middle School Boys Cross Country Team won the conference meet. With the top 5 finishing 2nd through 6th they totaled 20 points. Isaiah Cordes was the first Apache across the line (2nd) closely followed by Drew Guenin-Hodson (3rd), Bobby Shull (4th), Ezra Church (5th), Caidan Burchett (6th), Kamden Oswalt (10th), Coleson Kugler (11th), Jay French (20th), Raven Weaver (21st), and Maverick Sommers (47th).

First for the HS lady Apaches and winning the race was sophomore Cali Kugler. Kugler placed 20th, bringing home a ribbon while also finishing her race with a career PR of 23:23. Next was freshman Ivy Beamer coming in 31st place with a personal record time of 24:58. Following was our junior Grace La Mar, in 37th place with a time only 7 seconds shy of her PR with 26:31.

Coming in first for the team with a career PR was Chloe Cooper in 14th place and a time of 13:52.07. Right on Cooper’s tail was Raegan Jones in her last middle school race of the year with a season PR of 13:52.28 and taking 15th place. Coming in next for the team in her last middle school race as well was Ava Bishir. Bishir ran a career PR time of 14:05 and took 18th place. Close behind her was teammate Quinn Myers with a career PR time of 14:08 in 19th place. Following behind her was Rinka Higuera. Higuera came in 21st, running a time of 14:10. Next up was Mallory Tart who came in with a time of 14:38 and taking 27th place. Only two seconds behind her was Haylee Friend. Friend finished her first season and last season of middle school cross country with a time of 14:40 and taking 28th place. Caitlyn Shidler followed in behind her with a time only three seconds shy of her PR in 38th place in 15:25. Bridget Bailey followed Shidler coming in 43rd place and running a time of 15:38. Next was Maya Howard. Howard ran a time of 16:13 and taking 46th place. Both Howard and Bailey finished up their last middle school season strong. Mia Fairchild finished up her season with a time of 16:22 and taking 47th place overall. Finishing her race strong was Audri Shidler with a time of 16:56 and taking 52nd place.

TRC

The HS boys also finished 2nd as a team. Jacob Hesting was 18th. Lane Stetzel (11th), Cade Jones (9th), and Raven King (3rd) all medaled earning a spot on the all-conference team. Raven and Lane both ran career PRs. The HS girls finished 3rd just two points behind Maconaquah. 4 girls were named to the all-conference team. Kambree Cashdollar (12th), Josie Briner (6th), Ayla Cashdollar (5th), and Kadence Fox (4th).

5 out of 6 Northfield varsity boys ran a seasons best at the TRC meet- Layne Denton, Karson Pratt, John Nesler, Kamdon Carpenter and Ryan Brunett.
Running first for the Norse was Layne Denton in 17th place at 18:46 followed by Karson Pratt in 25th place in 19:52, Kamdon Carpenter in 20:13, Ryan Brunett in 20:51, John Nesler in 21:18 and Alex Reed in 21:43.

The varsity Lady Norse ran 4th as a team for the TRC meet. 4 out of 7 girls ran a personal best for the season- Mara Zolman, Trinity Bever, Ella Gahl and Asia Miller.
Running first for the Lady Norse was Mara Zolman in 17th place with a time of 23:10. Trinity Bever ran 23:20 for 18th place followed by Ella Gahl with a time of 23:25, Madeline Moore in 23:59, Asia Miller in 24:54, Anna Kissel in 26:08 and Natalee Keller in 33:17

The Wabash High School Boys Cross Country Team competed in the conference meet Saturday at Tippecanoe Valley coming in 3rd place. Kaden Vogel was the first Wabash finisher coming in 2nd place overall with a new PR in the process. Jace Bullins came in 13th, Jonas Church 15th, Chase Howard 16th, Nick Perkins 22nd, Braydon French 27th, Kasen Oswalt 33rd, Ethan Berry 40th, Kristian Stanton 49th and Braxten Lakin 50th.
