Squire JV Wrestlers 5th At Penn

Manchester’s JV Wrestling team gained valuable experience against solid competition at the Penn JV Invite.

Fresh off an impressive 3rd place finish at the Varsity John Mckee Invite, Freshman Jordan Owens had another good day going up a weight to collect the crown at 126. Junior Jose Hernandez shook off an early loss to win his final two matches, including a dominant win by pin over his opponent from Crown Point who got “first” in the weight class. Norwegian Junior Sebastian Rolen continued to improve as he won two big matches to finish 2nd in his weight class. Fellow foreign exchange student Yousef Ishaqat did a nice job winning a match in a tough weight class, and Freshmen Ryan Tully and Tallon Selleck both collected one win by pin on the day. Overall it was a good day for the Squires JV, and Manchester looks forward to returning to action for the 12/28 Girls Wrestling Team meet at Lafayette Jeff.
