The Manchester Squires wrestling team finished the dual season at 7-9 after losing a tense Senior Night dual against Class A No. 8 Bluffton.

Junior Zach France opened the dual on a good note with a pin to improve to 21-2. With the score tied at 6, Sophomore Preston Duffy knocked off the 4th ranked wrestler in the Semi State by an 8-3 decision and Trevor Dill finished his home career with a pin. Bluffton won 3 straight matches to reclaim the lead, but Freshman Jordan Owens got the team back on track with a pin in 57 seconds. Senior Dylan Stroud pulled the Squires to within 3 with a pin at 132 to move to 23-0 in his stellar senior year. Bluffton picked up a 5 point swing at 138 to take a 34-26 lead. Sophomore Isaiah Burlingame and Junior Jordan Ayres returned to duals in a big way with pins to put the Squires in front 38-34 heading into the final match of the night. Senior Elliot Apps sealed the Bluffton victory with a win at 160 with the talented Dominic Lincoln out of the lineup. Overall it was a good back and forth dual and an excellent night to honor a great group of seniors.
