Here are the recaps for opening day in the National League on Saturday

Game 1: Wabash Elk’s Lodge Cubs @ Wabash Hardware Giants

Recap: The Wabash Elk’s Lodge Cubs beat the Wabash Hardware Giants 10-3 in 5 innings. The Cubs were led by Treyce Daughtry and Grady Dillon at the plate. Daughtry doubled and hit an inside the park HR while Dillon added a 3B and scored 3 runs. Daughtry picked up the win giving up 1 run over 2 innings while striking out 7. Landan Johnson came on in relief and struck out 5 in 3 innings. Carson Amburgey led the Giants with 2 hits and knocked in 2 runs. Amburgey took the loss on the mound striking out 5 over 2 and 2/3 innings. Micah Siders came on in relief and only gave up a run in 2 1/3 innings.

Game 2: Inguard A’s @ Intrasect Technologies Blackhawks

Recap: The Intrasect Technologies Blackhawks beat the Inguard A’s 9-5 in 4 1/2 innings. Cruz Long led the A’s with 2 hits and 2 runs scored. Breckin Sanders and Kamden Oswalt each added a hit. Peyton Ward started on the hill for the A’s giving up 5 runs and striking out 3. The A’s tied the game at 5 in the top of the 4th but the Blackhawks added 4 more runs in the bottom half of the inning to get the win. The Blackhawks were led by Ryker McKillip and Ethan Mahan at the plate. Mahan singled in the go ahead run in the bottom of the 4th. Jake Sailors struck out 7 over 2 1/3 only giving up 1 run. Sailors added a 2B. McKillip picked up the win in relief while striking out 7. Long took the loss for the A’s striking out 4.

Game 3: Kendall Electric Yankees @ Crossroads Bank Red Sox

Recap: The Kendall Electric Yankees defeated the Crossroads Bank Red Sox 11-2 in 6 innings. Zach Miller led the way with 3 hits while Bode Sorg, Liam Clark, and Harrison Dale each added 2 hits on the day. Dale picked up the win on the mound giving up 2 runs over 5 innings. Miller came on in relief and struck out the side. Jameson Wallen scored both runs for the Red Sox while Ashton Shepler and RJ Harris each added a hit. Shepler took the loss giving up 4 runs over 4 innings while striking out 5.
