The Wabash Apaches MS soccer team traveled to Tippecanoe Valley on a chilly Tuesday night to take on the Vikings.

The Apaches presented a strong defensive front against TV in the first 15 minutes, but was ultimately overcome by the 30-man Viking squad. With only two subs of their own, the Apaches held TV to 6 goals by halftime. Apache keeper Jake Vandegrift was key in this stronghold, logging 12 saves on the night. Wabash’s defensive line led by Jaycee Jones, Andi Stout, Raven Weaver and Caileigh Mignery was also able to lure the Vikings in 4 offsides traps. In the second half, the Apaches were able to get into TV’s defensive end and attack on goal, leading to one long-distance shot that found the back of the net launched by Max Carpenter. Time expired before the Apaches could score again and the final outcome was 10-1. Due to several game cancellations, Wabash will not play again until Monday, May 9 against Peru at the Tiger’s home field.
