Yankees Take Care Of Cubs

The Kendall Electric Yankees defeated the Wabash Elk’s Lodge Cubs 16-4 in 4 innings in the National league Monday.

Mackey Sorg led the Yankees going 3 for 3 at the plate with a 2B, 2 Singles and 3 RBI. Liam Clark went 2 for 3 with 2 RBI. Harrison Dale added a 2B while Dylan Hurst and Asa Dawes each had RBI singles. Weston Smith also added an RBI. Bode Sorg got the win on the mound for the Yankees allowing 2 hits in 3 innings while striking out 4. Asa Dawes pitched a 1-2-3 inning in relief. Ian Edmond led the Cubs at the plate with a 2 run double in the bottom of the 2nd inning. Ryker Wilcox added a single. Quenten Titus got the start for the Cubs on the mound while Edmond and Brody Schnurpel both made their pitching debuts in relief for the Cubs.

The Yankees are now 2-0 on the season while the Cubs are 1-1.
