Wabash MS Baseball Falls To RJ Baskett
The Wabash Middle School baseball team fell to RJ Baskett 13-6 Tuesday.
The Wabash Apaches MS struggled to put runs on the board and had a tough time defensively containing Rj Baskett, giving up 13 runs.
Wabash Apaches MS got things started in the first inning when an error scored one run for Wabash Apaches MS.
Rj Baskett pulled away for good with six runs in the fourth inning. In the fourth Seth singled on a 1-1 count, scoring one run, Logan doubled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring one run, Blake singled on a 1-2 count, scoring one run, Merrick grounded out, scoring one run, Kavion singled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring one run, and Thompson singled on a 3-2 count, scoring one run.
Wabash Apaches MS notched five runs in the sixth inning. The offensive onslaught by Wabash Apaches MS was led by Clay Shepler and Haiden McWhirt, all driving in runs in the inning.
Logan was on the pitcher’s mound for Rj Baskett. The ace lasted seven innings, allowing nine hits and six runs while striking out ten.
Cooper Long led things off on the hill for Wabash Apaches MS. The bulldog lasted four innings, allowing six hits and six runs while striking out four. Sawyer McNally threw three innings out of the bullpen.
Wabash Apaches MS totaled nine hits. Carter Booth and Derek Reed each managed multiple hits for Wabash Apaches MS. Booth led Wabash Apaches MS with three hits in three at bats.
Rj Baskett racked up 11 hits in the game. Logan, Schwar, and Seth each collected multiple hits for Rj Baskett. Logan went 3-for-4 at the plate to lead Rj Baskett in hits.
