Wabash MS Soccer Falls To Peru

The Wabash Middle School soccer team fell to Peru 11-1 Monday.

Subbing in the goal for Wabash were Brian Palmer and John Harris, with 3 and 7 saves on the night, respectively. The warm temperatures added to Wabash’s difficulty in generating an offensive attack against Peru, and with no substitutes, worn down the Apaches as the night went on, putting them down 7-0 at half. A brief spark ignited Wabash when Logan Wright took on a Tiger defender shoulder to shoulder and drew a foul inside the Peru 18 to begin the second half. Wright connected on her PK shot, getting Wabash on the board for the first and only time of the contest. The final score resulted in an 11-1 Apache loss. Wabash will host the Manchester Squires on Thursday, May 12 at 5:30 pm at Alumni Field.
