There were two games in the National League Thursday.
Game 1: Wabash Elk’s Lodge Cubs @ Intrasect Technologies Blackhawks
Recap: The Intrasect Technologies Blackhawks defeated the Wabash Elk’s Lodge Cubs 6-5. Ethan Mahan singled for the Blackhawks while Jake Sailors started on the mound and struck out 11. Ryker McKillip earned the win in relief. Brody Schnurpel had 2 hits and 2 RBI to lead the Cubs at the plate. Nash Cunningham had a 2 run double while Landan Johnson and Ryker Wilcox both singled. Quentin Titus took the loss for the Cubs in relief. The Blackhawks improved to 5-2 while the Cubs are now 6-5 on the season.
Game 2: Intrasect Technologies Blackhawks @ Crossroads Bank Red Sox
Recap: The Crossroads Bank Red Sox defeated the Intrasect Technologies Blackhawks 16-7 in 6 innings. Tyson Chambers had a 2 run double and 2 RBI singles to lead the Red Sox at the plate. Jameson Wallen had 2 singles and an RBI double. Cade Pershing had a 2 run single. Ashton Shepler and Tristen Sluss both had 2 hits and an RBI while RJ Harris, Jordan Fields, and Coby Leland all singled. Ashton Shepler earned the win striking out 9. Jake Sailors had an RBI double and 2 singles to lead the Blackhawks at the plate. Eli Eltzroth had a triple and Ryker McKillip added an RBI double. Logan Holmes and Aiden Mahan both had 2 hits while Ethan Mahan and Liam Perez both singled. Eli Eltzroth started on the mound for Blackhawks striking out 3 while Logan Holmes came on in relief striking out 7. The Red Sox are now 3-7 on the season while the Blackhawks dropped to 5-3.
