Northfield Golf Wins Wabash Invite
The Northfield Boys Golf capped off another great victory Saturday winning the Wabash Invite with an outstanding score of 322.
Logansport came in with a 2nd place 329. Manchester finished fifth, Southwood sixth and Wabash seventh.
The Top 5 individual medalists were honored with Northfield taking 3 of the 5 in a field of 40 players. Freshman, Tyson Baer won overall with a 72(1 over par). Cash Cartwright T-3rd with a 77, and Easton Shaw 5th with an 80. Dylan Ross would round out the score with a 93 to solidify the team victory. Tristan Hoffman carded 98 that still would have been good enough for a Northfield win if needed as a 5th score. The team combined for a total of 6 birdies on the round and will look to continue to build momentum going into Sectional next week.
Luke Watson was the team medalist for Southwood with 43/40-83, followed by Keaton Metzger 43/46-89, Dylan Stout 49/56-105, Ian Vanderpool 51/56-107, and Jordan Trisler 60/58-118.
