Yankees Win National League Tourney
The Kendall Electric Yankees defeated the Inguard A’s 10-0 in 5 innings to win the National League Tournament Championship.
Mackey Sorg was 4 for 4 with 4 RBI and Liam Clark was 4 for 4 with 2 RBI and 2 runs scored to lead the Yankees at the plate. Zach Miller had 3 hits and an RBI. Harrison Dale had 2 hits and 2 RBI while Eli Shellhammer and Harrison Sorg both singled for the Yankees. Harrison Dale went the distance on the mound allowing no runs, no walks, and striking out 8 in the complete game shutout. Cruz Long led the A’s at the plate with 2 hits. Blake Ashba tripled while Peyton Ward and Zayne Huffman both singled for the A’s. Kam Oswalt started on the mound for the A’s and took the loss. The Yankees finished the season 17-1 winning 3 games in the tournament on their way to the championship. The A’s finished the season 11-10 while winning 4 games in the tournament to reach the championship game. Congratulations to both teams on a great season.
