Northfield JH Suffers Loss To Maconaquah
The Northfield Junior High football team suffered a 56-0 home loss to Maconaquah Tuesday evening.
The Norse learned very quickly the game speed needed. After falling behind early with a couple fumbles lost, the Norse played a much better second half. Seventh grader Cody Holmes paced Northfield’s rushing attack with 20 yards on six carries, posting a long of six yards.
Eighth grader Lukas Southwick with 54 all purpose yards, featuring a kickoff return of 37 yards.
Kasen Frank and Southwick paced the defense with 3 1/2 tackles each. Breckin Sanders added 1.5. Kolten Prus contributed a couple solo tackles, including a touchdown-saving open field tackle on Mac’s big fullback.
