After battling with North Miami in the first half to a 0-0 tie, the Lady Vikings came out on fire in the second session finding the back of the net at the 56-minute mark, a PK at the 60-minute mark, then three more goals at the 63, 66, 71-minute marks to blank the host Warriors 5-0 at Denver.
Some key positional changes from a traditional defensive stance to a more offensive threat triggered this success.
This is the first ever TRC win for the Lady Vikings soccer program.
Scoring goals for Valley were Jessica Brito-2 (one PK), Lydia Miller-1, Noelia Ruiz-Quintana-1, and Macy Peterson-1.
Tonight’s Valley roster saw thirteen girls suit up and get valuable playing time.
The Lady Vikings improved to 1-2-1 overall, 1-1 in the TRC.
Jetta Hughes went the distance in goal. North Miami only mustered one shot on goal (three total shots) against her.
Valley next plays at home on 8/29 against Elkhart Christian Academy in a non-conference match-up.

Tonight the lady Vikings traveled to Manchester to play in a four way conference match. The team came away in 1st place moving the teams match play record to 15-0.
