Wabash Boys Soccer Plays Oak Hill To Scoreless Tie
Wabash boys soccer traveled to perennial powerhouse Oak Hill and managed to get away with a 0-0 tie Tuesday.
The Apache defense stymied the Eagles throughout the who match behind the rock-solid play of Will Galley, Spencer Stout, Devin Coffman and Brodie Craft. Coffman made some incredible defensive stops to deny scoring chances. Goalkeeper Isaac Byers made 8 saves, but the Apache defense blocked at least that many shots. Byers earned his second shutout of the season.
Solomon France and Kolton Wilson did a great job on both sides of the ball. Both midfielders had two shots, with Wilson nearly putting away a game-winner in the closing minutes. Jacob France and Ty Carpenter created a lot of problems for the Oak Hill defense with their relentless pressure.
The Apaches are now 3-3-1. Next up will be a Saturday morning match against Eastern. Kickoff will be at 10 am.
