Yoakum Breaks Sisters Scoring Record In Lady Apaches Win
The Wabash Lady Apaches traveled to Peru, for the second matchup of the season. Wabash came away with a 6-1 win.
Senior goalkeeper Hannah Layne had 6 saves on the night. Scoring for the Apaches tonight was junior Irma Robles, off a senior Rylee Yoakum assist, junior Natalie Adams in a beautiful crash goal and Yoakum putting 4 away, 3 unassisted with her 4th goal assisted by junior Kiana Jones. This puts Rylee Yoakum at 45 career goals, breaking the current school and program record of 44 goals previously held by her sister Bailey Yeadon (Yoakum). Tonight was a great team win, with every player contributing on the field. The Lady Apches now move to 6-2 on the season and 4-1 in the TRC. Wabash is back in action next Thursday at home to take on Blackford.
