The Manchester Boys Varsity Soccer beat Eastbrook on Thursday by a 6-1 margin.

The first goal of the evening came 13 minutes into the game when Liam York sent a ball across goal from the right side of the field and Tyler McLain put it in the back of the net. Twelve minutes later, the Squires scored on a similar play, but this time from the left side with Michael Oritz making the pass and Nathaniel Miller scoring the goal. Two more goals came late in the half, less than a minutes apart, the first when Ortiz followed the rebound of a shot by Miller, and the second when Ortiz assisted on another goal by McLain.

In the second half, Roberto Iaione sent a long cross field pass to Nathaniel Miller, who netted the Squires fifth goal. Eastbrook then scored their lone goal, but Manchester had one more when Oritz rifled a shot off an Eastbrook defended into the goal.

Without Senior captain Trevor Heath in the lineup due to injury, Evan Martynowicz started in the central defense, and Tristan Schmid filled in on the left side.

The Varsity game was followed by a 1-0 win for the Squires JV over Eastbrook’s JV, with Wyatt Young scoring the only goal, and Spenser Kerr making two key saves in goal, one at the end of each half.
