In a Saturday morning match at Alumni Field, the Wabash Apaches boys soccer team were the dominant team on the pitch and on the scoreboard, defeating Eastern 4-1.

Over the 80 minutes, Wabash forced the Eastern goalkeeper to make 19 saves as the shots were coming in fast and furious. In contrast, Isaac Byers made one save on the two shots on goal he faced.

The first Wabash goal was scored by Jacob France who led the Apaches with 12 shots on the day. Kolton Wilson provided the assist on that goal along with the second goal by Troy Guenin-Hodson. Solomon France scored on a direct kick from about 25 yards out to put the Apaches up 3-0. Solomon France notched an assist in the waning moments of the match when he found Guenin-Hodson on the wing who snaked a sneaky ball past the keeper for the final score of the game.

Will Galley and Spencer Stout anchored the defense for Wabash and did a nice job denying Eastern any good looks on goal.

Wabash travels to Eastbrook on Tuesday for a 5 pm kickoff.
