Wabash Boys Soccer took the long trip to Blackford and got away with a 5-1 victory.

Jacob France scored a hat-trick with Max Carpenter and Kolton Wilson adding a goal apiece. Coleson Kugler got the win in his first varsity start in goal. Kugler ended the evening with 4 saves.

It was a night for scoring off headers. The first goal came as France headed in a Troy Guenin-Hodson corner kick. A few minutes later Ty Carpenter sent a pass to his brother Max who lofted a high curving shot from distance that beat the keeper. Jacob France scored his next two goals 40 seconds apart both on breakaways through the middle. Assists came from Kolton Wilson and Sol France respectively.

Wabash pressed hard to score again in the second half finding the post several times and forcing save after save. With about 10 minutes to go, Sol France lifted a free kick into the area that Wilson headed into the side-netting for what was the prettiest goal of the night.

Spencer Stout, Devin Coffman, and Will Galley all had impressive nights on defense for the Apaches.

Wabash returns to TRC action on Tuesday when they travel to Peru for a 5:30 kickoff.
