Northfield JH XC Wins At Riverview
The Northfield junior high cross county teams ran at Riverview Thursday
The JH Lady Norse took 1st place as a team Thursday evening at Riverview Middle School. Leading the way was Kaleigh Rice and Laney Haupert finishing 2nd and 3rd in a photo finish. Ali Copeland, 10th, Teagan Baer, 12th, and Adalynn Hawkens, 13th, rounded out the scoring. Olia Leffert, Amarah Frieden, Sheila Smith, Haylee Bucher, Izzy See and Trinity Sutterby all ran good times. Leffert and Smith both turned in lifetime best performances. The Lady Norse run again Saturday morning at South Adams.
The JH Northfield boys placed 1st Thursday evening at Riverview Middle School in a 4 team event. Bode Sorg was the individual champion with a time of 11:28. Wyatt Bucher, 3rd, Eli Gahl, 5th, Kourtland Pratt, 6th, Preston Moore 12th, Hudson Haupert, 13th, and Holten Satterthwaite. Also running was Nate Hodson, Ethan Hoover, Gaving Lester, Landon McLaughlin and Bentley Sutterby. Pratt, Haupert, Hodson and Hoover all ran season best times on the evening. The boys will run again this Saturday morning at South Adams.
