Winer Sets TD Record In Knights Win Over Apaches
Cole Winer set a new rushing touchdown record for Southwood, scoring six rushing TD’s to lead the Knights to a 52-14 win over Wabash Friday.
Winer would give the Knights a 6-0 lead in the first, scoring from 12yds out.
In the second Wabash would take a brief lead when Wright found Daughtry from 76yds away for a 7-6 lead. After Winer’s second TD, Sutton would scamper to the end zone from 29yds out. Winer capped off the scoring with 33.3 left in the half for a 26-7 Southwood lead.
Winer scored a fourth time to start the third quarter before Wright found Booth to make it 32-14.
It was all Southwood in the fourth with Winer scoring two more times before Chambers capped off the night with a 3yd run for the 52-14 final
